Would e36 zf 5spd trans fit e46?

3rd gear pops out on my car and planning on swapping out trans soon. I have access to trans out of e36 m3. I was wondering I can throw that in there for mean time. If it's possible, what would I need to complete swap?

The bell housing bolt pattern is the same so it will mount up but not sure the clutch center and input shaft splines match. You may have to swap clutch discs but I can't say for sure.
