Announcing the arrival of the first in a series of new designs for 2012: VMR Wheels V705- Five Spoke Deep Concave!

Based on feedback from our customer base, we have crafted a simple, yet elegant 5-spoke design while maintaining the aggressiveness that VMR Wheels are best known for. The VMR Wheels V705 is low pressure cast, engineered to a load rating higher than most OEM and aftermarket wheels on the market.

Love the clean 5 spoke design... but am I missing something here... where is the deep concave... or any concave for that matter?

Or are these the more conservative fitments pictured?

Nice...very simple, clean. I also think they could be even more concave, but they do look nice! JB, have you guys had a chance to weigh the various sizes yet?

Thank you! For now the concavity is what you see. They are similar to the concavity of the V710s.

I'm glad to hear good responses about the wheels. We have not yet had a chance to weigh the wheels but will be doing so soon.

Bummer... I would recommend revising that "super deep" part of the name then.

Sorta false advertising. Really good looking wheel but it's is far from any sort of concave. I would consider this a flat faced wheel, and people dig that too!

Possibly, we are always open to new ideas for wheels designs. And the style 5's are really nice.

That concavity is only in the M3 offsets though, correct? Lets see a coupe fitment.

I dunno to me it seems like the spoke is almost flat... and it only dips in where the hub area is? If you look at any "concave" wheels it slopes down throughout the whole spoke and design of the wheel, not do a little quick pitch in where the hub is. Your V710's do the exact same thing. I still think "DEEP" concave stuff is a total marketing gimmick on your part and is deceiving.

Does this mean that the non-m fitment ARC-8's are super concave since they have a "bowl" for that hub area and the spokes are flat... heck no it doesn't.

U can see it angle down as the spoke start on the edge of the lip. This is probably the deepest you can get with this offset and width of wheel. Most front (8.5) is not that concave anyways.

For now this is all we are going to have but we will take the idea of having a lip into consideration for out next wheel design.

With our wheels the concavity is not affected by offset, but instead the width. So the ET22 and ET45 19x9.5 V705s will both have the same concavity.

If you would like us to take photos from another angle I can arrange for that to happen. Obviously we can't take a photo from straight above the wheel or from the side because then you would not be able to notice whether it was flat faced or immensely concave. Instead we chose an angle that would show off the entirety of the concavity.

And the concavity on these would be more similar to 19x8.5/19x9.5 VB3s vs V710s.
