1999 E46 Need info about headers
I know this will most prob sound a silly question but, i have a RHD 328 and have been looking at some different headers for my car to match my new blue flame exhaust system, the only prob is i can only find rhd headers with a 2.0" outlet and my new exhaust has 2.25" inlets, also i was thinking of getting some LHD headers and modding them to fit as almost all the lhd headers iv found have a 2.25" out, the the primary is also larger been 2" compared to 1.75" on the rhd versions, can anyone lease tell me why on the lhd headers the primary and secondary are .25" larger than the rhd headers????
i said this was a silly question!!!! |

Might be because the steering rack goes through the headers.... That it wold be a problem fitting bigger runners...
Or do you mean the tubes where youc onnect the headers to the center section? Cause if thats the case, i have no clue.

I dont know. But i dont think it'll make that much of a difference. I had 2x2,25" system on my car, and found it hard to connect it to the stock exhaust flanges. Might be the case?..
