My Ride: 318se

Hi folks, just a few lines to introduce myself; I have just purchased my first BMW a 2002 318SE manual with the 1995cc engine. It has done a lot of miles 177,000 but has pretty much full service history and only two previous owners.
It seems ok but I have only had it a few hours so time will tell.

First impressions are very good but I missed a few things when I went to buy it - none of the steering wheel controls work - horn, stereo, cruise control and the gear lever seems very loose/slack, I assume the linkage s are worn due to the mileage.
There is also a bit of backlash in the drive train but I think if I can address these issues I will be very happy.

The car has M3 alloys and is taxed until December so I think the price 1,150 was pretty good for what I have got, I look forward to posting on the forum and bringing the car back up to the best condition it can be.

All the best and kind regards, Will
