i have the 6.52 series and the 6.42 series and a set of 6.53 series boston pro acoustics.

They need a lot of power. If you give that to them the will sound awsome.

The tweeter are hard dome tweeters. Some other brands like dynaudio have silk dome tweeters and sound a little more softer. It depends on the music you like to play. Boston is very good for rock and dance music and rap.

on a note: if i where you i would instal the 6.5 inch speakers because you have a lot more kickbas. If needed mod the door. You drive a M3 so that extra few dollars to mod the door should be no probleme with your budget.

You could look at it that way... or you could look at it like... I have an M3 so I have less money than someone with a 3 series....I am only 23 so I dont spend money where I dont need too I dont think I need the 6.5's though because I have W7's that will give me plenty of bass I just want the Hi's to give me clarity... ya know... I was thinking of getting like a 4 channel 500w amp to power them I figure that should be enough (the hi's that is, not the w7's I have plenty for that.....

i think the 2way sets need about 80 watt rms. Thats real rms watt continue and not music power watts.

You should be fine with that amp.
I still hold my believe that kickbass is not the same as bass.
Look at it this way: kickbass is like a drummer of a band beating on the drums a short powerfull kick bass.

You cant replace that by a subwoofer bas is simply the pressure of the drums you feel in your back. Its complementary to the kickbass but kickbass is the most importent.

about the bostons: i have a simple rule that holds much trueth.

If you like to play you music softly then i think focal utopias are nice to. If you like to play your music loud while driving then you need bostons

Bostons sound better at high volume powers. Other brands tend to distort.
