Noise over bumps

Took into dealership said my cv boots were going out
I replaced them. Now there is a springy noise while going over small bumps at low speed. Ball joints? Control arms and bushings ? Any thoughts ? Maybe its normal and important just being paranoid idk.

Used a fork tool to get my ball joints loose and damaged the rubber. Could this be causing a noise?

Can you better explain "springy noise"?

Noise at low speed over bumps (usually a rattling type noise) is generally worn out sway bar end links.

Sounds like a stressed rubber noise. Only coming from driver side does not happen when turning. Only when there is movement up and down. Ball joints do have rubber damage but not aware if that causes noise

Worn ball joints can definitely cause noise. Also check all the bushings under there including the ones that hold the sway bar to the body.

I have a clunking noise under my feet when driving over bumps at low speed. After getting my car on the lift, my mechanic and I determined it is the outer ball joint that has gone bad. Easy to see with the "wiggle test". New left front lower control arm on the way. Along with Powerflex FCABs and RTABs just for some better response. Has anyone determined which FCABs should be purchased... On their website they list a few:

60mm
XI specific
Centered m3 (heard of XI using these instead)

So this type of noise can only be either end-links or ball joints?

Can you replace the ball joints alone or do you need to change out entire control arm?

Thanks,

If it is the outer ball joint then it is not removable from the control arm so the entire arm must be replaced. If it is the inner ball joint, that is separate from the control arm then you may only replace that ball joint.

Where did you order the control arm from?

I am guessing the FCAB your replacing with Powerflex ones are at the inner ones?
Number 4 on this diagram.
