time to put in some new shocks

koni adjustables with eibauch pro spring kit from mod bargains

front and rear sway bar end links, rear strut mounts, rear spring pads, all weather floor mats (set of 4) and carbon fiber wrap. there goes my vacation/wheel/tire fund.

Look at it this way; you' be good for a few years after the overhaul.

actually that's prob not true.

it's got 98k and i put about 25-30k on it a year. i'm guessing within a year i'll have to really look into.

new brakes, bleeding brake fluid, changing fuel filter, changing the water pump and maybe a coolant flush.

i love this car, but sometimes i wish i had a honda. my old accord is 22 years old, has 280k miles and counting and still original: alternator, water pump, coolant, fuel filter and does 27mpg. how wack is that? oh, and drive it like i stole it.

Ok whatever. Personally, I wouldn't compare a BMW to a Honda in any way shape or form.

haha, i'm not saying that. this car is better in every way. except for durability. sometimes it just makes me crazy to wonder why my bmw alternator failed at 60k yet my honda alternator is still turning at 280k. i can see 50% better, maybe 100% better. but 400+% better?!?!?!?!?!? wtf. even though neither company makes alternators, it just makes one scratch their head.

So how's the ride? Close to OEM ? Stiffer? I'm at 71k and know it will have to be done soon.

While Honda reliability is legendary, there's no way that car is on its original water pump and coolant. The water pump is changed every time the timing belt is changed so it's technically on it's second or third water pump. If you're still on the original timing belt that's both incredible and dumb all at the same time.

BTW, my car has 112 on it and it's still has the OEM alternator in it and I just changed the water pump as a precaution, didn't show any signs of wear when I removed it.
