FT e39 M5 01 Carbon Black on Black - CO/WY

Greetings E46 Fans! Lets TRADE!

I have a 2001 e39 M5 but what I really want is an e46 M3.

I'm located in the front range area but for the right car I am willing to travel.

My car
2001 E39 M5 with 105,000k
Carbon black exterior with extended black on the inside
Clean Carfax- one scratch on the front bumper and a quarter size crack on the rear bumper.
It has been babied since I got it 2010, and I have not driven it in 2012. I have only filled with the best (Royal Purple fluids & Shell high octane no EtOH)

Brand new CNS dual mass clutch is going in now.
Powerchip software included (currently off the car).
white LED halos
Led turn signals
New fuel pump
New fuel filter
Transmission is checked and filled with brand new Royal Purple
New fuel relays
New m5 floor mats
Extra set of OEM M5 rims (makes changing nice)
12 disc BMW CD*
Dinan front strut brace*
ZHP* shift knob*
Muffler removal tips by Timmay*
Temperature sensor relocation kit*
** - Means I have it ready to go but it has not been put on the car yet.

I'll add an older photo because this beast is currently getting a new clutch.

Your car
I want a e46 M3. I do not want a 330i or your Nissan that you plan on selling for a M anyway. I'm not trading non-M for M (that's just dumb). I love my M5 and that V8 but I adore the look of the M3 and I want to start working on a track car or at least a car I COULD track.

If I had my wet dreams come true it would be a Carbon Black, 6 speed, with brown or red interior. However, the M3 is such a great car that I am willing to love any color combination.

I'm not interested in car that needs 3500 bucks to fix the SMG (been down that road). Nor sub-frame cracks etc.. My M is quality and well maintained ride, I expect the same in a trade.

If you are interested, lets chat..

Thanks for hijacking my thread man, that's awesome.

I have a M and I want a different M. Doesn't really seem that difficult.

If I can find a trade that is not interested in the extra parts, sure.

This is very tempting. Mileage is the only thing holding me back. Do you have history from 2001 to 2010?

I sent you an email. I'm not too far from you in Salt Lake City and would like to know if you'll sell for cash. Only trade I could offer is a 99 Porsche Boxster, great cars for track and autocross events, but not what your asking for.

Yep. I also want to trade for a car that stopped production over 6 years ago and started over a decade ago. That's why I posted on the E46 forum.

I'm sure your 335 is sweet, and I'd love an E9x M3 but thats not what I'm looking for right now. Sorry for being explicit in my desires but I want an E46 M3 for an E39 M5.

And a decade old, or not, the E39 M5 is one hell of a car. There's something visceral about turning that key and hearing the V8 come to life. Only one car I'd rather have and thats the E46 M3.

Iconike, I like you, so I'll trade you... Just bring the difference in cash and I'll give you a tour of Laramie Wyoming when you show up.

I have a 2002 e46 m3, that I bought from Active autowerke directly. 518rwhp. It was the owners car. It has the hks supercharger kit. 2 fuel pumps, new fuel rails, larger intercooler, methenol injection, headers, AA titanium exhuast. Car is suped up. Racing clutch, lightened flywheel, kw variant 3 suspension. lowered on 20" tsw black zolders. 6000k lowbeams, 6000k hid fogs, full led interior. suede headliner b/c factory fell. new a/c evaportator, upgraded tails, with leds, led reverse, and all led turn signals
Interior was grey. I wrapped the middle front 2 seats with black suede, so they are 2tone. door panels are 2tone, and interior is wrapped in 3m cf.
car drives just like a stock factory car. It has 158k on the clock. I bought it with 101k. Car was maintained top notch from AA, I did the leak down compression, its perfect. I own a car bizz, so mechanically its 100% perfect.
The outside looks like a 2002. Front bumper has rock chips, scuffs ect. passenger got 2 dents from someone just openning car door into it. so If i keep it, i was gona give it a fresh paint job. Rear seat i never did anything with, its some what dirty looking. All in all everyone loves the car, but its kinda small for me, and I been using it for a daily driver, and I shouldnt be using such an insane car for work.
Theres alot to list and say, so lmk what you think.
