TRADE: 2005 ZHP, 6 speed, Immola red on alcantara - Vancouver, Canada
I'm looking to trade my '05 ZHP Coupe 6 speed for an automatic, 4 door vehicle of similar value. I don't mind taking a slightly older & cheaper vehicle + cash on top. I'll consider pretty much anything from 2000-onwards.
// EDIT - while I'd prefer a 4 door, I'm not opposed to the "right" coupe or convertible. Must be a local trade here in Canada. I don't want to deal with importing/exporting vehicles from/to the States. Particularly interested in: - 2000 - 2001 BMW E38 (740 / 750) - 2000 - 2003 BMW E39 - 2003+ BMW E60 - 2003 - 2006 BMW E46 - 2006+ BMW E90 328 / 330 / 335 i or xi - 2006+ BMW E70 X5 - only 3.0L models - 2005+ Lexus IS250 / 300 / 350 - 2000+ Mercedes C Class - 2002+ Mercedes E Class - 2005+ Mercedes S Class - 2004+ Audi A6 (C6) - 2002+ Audi A8 (D3) - 2005 - 2008 Audi A4 (B7) Car is in great condition and needs nothing! The front of the car has some light rock chips, but other than that, the car is in fantastic condition in and out. Details: - 139,000km (86,000 miles) - highly-desired Alcantara interior - leather steering wheel - 6 speed - premium Harman Kardon audio (10 speakers) - heated seats - xenon adaptive headlights - sunroof - folding rear seats (60/40) - rain sensing wipers - sunroof - sport front seats - headlight washers - a/c and automatic climate control - wood trim interior - dynamic stability control (DSC) (traction control) - ABS - tire pressure monitor - on-board computer Upgrades include: - 18" OZ Ultraleggera (ultra light-weight) wheels w/ new tires (Continental Extreme Contact DWS - 225/40/18 up front, and 255/35/18 in the rear) - $1500 for wheels + $800 for tires - 17" OEM BMW Style 161 wheels w/ winter performance rubber (Hankook I-PIKE W310 - 225/40/17 up front, and 235/40/17 in the rear) - $1500 - Bilstein PSS9 fully-adjustable coilovers - better suspension than M3s! - $1400 - Stainless steel brake lines - $140 - Slotted rotors - $300 - Rogue Engineering adjustable camber arms - $400 - AFE cold air intake - $400 - Upgraded front & rear sway bars - $7000 - Short shifter w/ weighted ZHP shift knob - $220 - Tinted windows (8% on the rear three) with lifetime warranty - $300 Over $8000 invested in parts alone! Canada didn't get the ZHP.
It either got the ZAM or M-Sport.

ZAM is the ZHP with a different name for the Canadian market, that's all. 767 M-Performance Package on the options list. Identical to US ZHP cars in both aesthetics and performance modifications - the only difference is the gauge cluster doesn't show the increased redline, despite the actual redline being the same as on US ZHP cars.

I've recently gotten myself into a 45 minute bumper-to-bumper rush-hour commute... each way. 6 speed just doesn't mix with that. Would love to swap with an auto ZHP or other e46.

I understand the traffic and standard, I drive into Washington DC every day thats one reason I bought my current car with steptronic, got sick of shifting in DC's bumper to bumper traffic

Me too. I'd be living on your guys' race tracks instead of having to drive 16 hours to get to Thunderhill

As this thread demonstrates, ZAM is different enough from the ZHP that most people familiar with the latter wont recognize it as one.
On another note, Canadians seem to create a lot of confusion on this board by muddying the line between US and Canadian spec cars. They're not priced comparably in most cases, the options and features don't line up, and the dealer networks in each country aren't bound to support the cars the same way either. Because of import restrictions they aren't easily interchangeable.

Bump.
People, I really don't care whether you think a few drops of paint on the gauge cluster result in a different car model or not - please take your "ZHP vs ZAM" discussions somewhere else.
