Is that why you bought the white tassel loafers?

To balance out my jab, I'll contribute: it's very odd being in a committed and loving relationship with someone you will never marry.

I just remembered that there was a thread on here "Things you would say to your ex if you saw her now" or something to that extent. I cannot find that thread.

However I think I would ask her if she remembered that time she farted.

Love it when you spend time with a chick one night out and hit it off great and then find out she has a bf the next morning woulda been all over that too.

After 10 weeks being single she was the first girl who geniuenly seemed like a "step up" from the ex and potential gf material. At least it opened my eyes to moving on and realizing that there is "better" ppl out there.

End mini rant

I was on the receiving end of one of these. Apparently I invested more than the ex and had a break up because she didnt think i was "the one" and wanted to go out and enjoy life.

I'm sorry to hear that.

In my situation, we're both very outspoken about not wanting to get married, and there are some other situational issues. It's just odd balancing my plans against the pressure I'm starting to feel from friends/family to get married and create mini versions of myself.

Did you set ground rules?

You realize there is a very slim chance of this ending well, right?

Thanks Phil, I know, I know, and yes I have been told by about 70% of posters to be ready for a divorce, but want to get as many members' thoughts as possible.... .... I have never been committed to another human being before in my life, and really thought this was it so I'm having a hard time accepting eventualities. She also thinks the World is ending in December.
