Yeah exactly like how you described. The amp rack itself is just a carpeted piece of mdf
Yes currently running the Polk Audio co-axís in the rear shelf through my trusty 15 year old PPI A600.2....the legend that is the art series lives on in my car lol....still yet to hear an amp as nice as this under 1k....being class a/b itís not exactly ergonomic like todayís class d amps but it is too nice to fob off.

Currently also building mdf speaker mounts for the front door to install my Diamond Audio mids and also fabbing up mounting plates to house some oversized Image Dynamics tweeters in the normal door cards.
Oh and the distribution blocks in the spare tyre well. Got to dynamat the front doors and rear parcel as well.

All I am missing is a working PPI A300 to power the splits in active arrangement. Got my 3way crossover and new head unit just sitting here waiting to go in.

Having said that once all is in i am sure i will find something else to go in or needs reconfiguring, a never ending obsession.....already making plans on going 3 way up front with some Morel Elate 9Ē mids I have sitting under the bed

But i guess it keeps you occupied on days that you have nothing better to do!
hahaha kinda of hard these days when im doing 60 hour weeks

Since you guys are on the topic of subs, here is my dad's setup which he custom built:

These pics are from when he had them in his holden statesman. The subs are now in his e39 535i sport. It's all the same, but you can't see the front of the subs.

You have almost hit perfection Steve!
Painting the rims gunmetal will be a backwards step.

Also on hickson rd, this will be the closest you can get to that single lanes bit:

Nah no aftermarket system in mine.
I have the OEM harman/kardon sound system which I'm really happy with .
