Best NA BMW Dealerships - Did your dealer make the cut?

Who's dealership made the cut for BMW's 2012 Center of Excellence award? Thirty-one of the 339 BMW dealers nationwide achieved Center of Excellence status based on their 2011 performance in customer satisfaction, outstanding brand representation, operational excellence and profitability.

BMW customers have high expectations of their vehicle and their dealer, said Peter Miles, BMW of North America Executive VP of Operations. It takes extraordinary and consistent effort to attain the level of a COE dealership.

During 2012, BMW will launch a number of new vehicles in the U.S., including the all-new 3 Series Sedan, 6 Series Gran Coupe, and the M5 Sedan ensuring their position as the number one luxury brand in the U.S.

The Center of Excellence winners have done exceptionally well, said BMW of North America President and CEO Ludwig Willisch. In this Olympic year, these 31 are our top athletes, so its fitting that we send them to the London 2012 Olympics as their reward.

Classic (last on the list) is where I bought my car. Crazy expensive dealership.

Peter Pan deserves to be on that list. Best service ever, and probably the most friendly dealership, not to mention their service staff are all enthusiasts.

CT is big on that list! Too bad I can only afford private sale 5 year old Bmw's. At least the women behind the cashier counters are always well dressed and in nice heels when I pay for dealer parts.

Two North Carolina dealers on the list. I knew Leith BMW in Raleigh would not make the cut. Horrible customer service! Closest I ever came to slapping a service advisor! I actually went as far to send them a certified letter stating to never send me any kind of correspondence from them period! I kept receiving service and oil specials! Told them this was their last chance to cease all contact! Total Idiots!

Can we have the list of worst BMW dealerships in America?

1.) BMW of West Springfield Massachusetts.

The only positive from this stealership is the parts center. I get many parts from them and over the years parts get cheaper. The more parts I buy the more I have a discount of future parts. The staff at the part center are great. I know them all.

But to buy a car from them of get a service. Forget it! Well overpriced and I've heard many negative reviews. Plus if you have any pre-06 BMW they treat you like dirt. They think your poor or something and shouldn't be in the dealership. lol.

Notice two of the criteria are operational excellence and profitability. So, while OE might translate into customer sat, it's likely more about how a dealership is run back office. This is a "company" award.

And, certainly profitability doesn't necessarily translate into something good for the consumer... it depends on how they use those profits. So, it may or may not necessarily be a great thing for us buyers if they make this list.

EDIT: And no, South Bay BMW did not make the list (I'd have been shocked if they did). Where I bought my car, BMW of Monrovia, did.

1. Hendrick BMW - Charlotte, NC

This is also absolute crap. They may sell a lot of cars but their service department is arrogant, unhelpful, and an absolute nightmare to deal with. Unless you are over 40 or have a car with a Hendrick BMW logo on it they act like you don't exist, and try to add service and parts you don't need or charge for work they didn't do.

So not really best NA dealerships, but best US dealerships? Some people in the U.S. know that they aren't the only country in North America, right? Although I wouldn't be surprised that even if it was truly NA-wide our local dealerships still wouldn't on there.

C'mon now, everyone knows that Canada is simply America's hat.

Kuni!

They require the women employees to be no more than 28 and to wear short skirts

Is there a connection with the name Peter Pan and San Francisco?
