Supercharger - JM2100 Super Charger kit

Hi all,

i came across a company in Europe (Sweden) that can produce a supercharger for my 320Ci.

They quote some torque and power figures that cause for some reading !!! Even better than that of an E46 M3

Anyone tried their product or heard of them and can vouch for them?

supercharger:

without seeing what's exactly in the kit, the figures look the same as ESS TS2.

This kit uses a classic intercooler setup instead of the ESS style laminova setup in a custom alu cast intake. So that's a big difference.

I'm not sure about the make&model of the TS itself. On the JM website I only see kenne bell (autorotor?) superchargers, but the supercharger in the pic looks more like lysholm.
Both are respected brands though so that wouldn't be any problem.

But it looks like these kits are way more expensive than ess kits, for basically cheaper hardware (conventional intercooler and stock intake instead of lamonova cores, alu cast intake etc).
But nice hp claims, so maybe they run an insanely high boost..

On the pic where the kit is layed out I also don't see new injectors, which is somewhat unbelievable with these hp claims.

I wouldn't buy it without some more info about boost&tuning, ànd support (support is EVERYTHING).
I mean: stage 2 is $12k (€9,6k)

Or is that including the car?

^ You should buy it, install it, dyno it; and report back with your results.

Good luck,

I think he's better off with a well tested kit like the ess TS2. Which has a similar sc, similar bhp but comes with extra large injectors a (imho) better cooling system that allows you to keep the stock air filter, and is cheaper (especially if you have a m52tub, they have a sale on that kit apparently).

I have no faith in a kit that does 260bhp with the stock injectors on a 320i.
Getting the duty cycle too high on an injector can cause big problems.

I also wonder why this kit has a blowoff valve. Normally a TS setup has an internal bypass, no blowoff needed. And on a TS you want that bypass (preferably with the sc situated behind the TB; I wonder if that's the case here...), as it has equal efficiency at low revs (unlike a centrifugal setup). That's why you choose a TS.
