E46 Auto folding mirrors

Hi there

I am new to the forums and a new BMW owner. I purchased an '05 E46 325Ci Sport a few days ago and it has all the features I want except the electric/auto folding mirrors.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a very detailed step by step guide to installing these? I have electrically controlled seats (i heard that was important) and I know I will need to buy some mirrors with the motors in them.

From there I don't really know what I have to do so was wondering if there was a good guide I could follow. I have never done any DIY before kind of need want these mirrors as I have to park on the road some times and would prefer to keep my mirrors intact!

Thanks guys.

Does the second guide also apply to the E46 facelift models (2003 and later)?
