Just get H&R springs, you won't be disappointed. I just made the switch and love them.

If you get a high rate spring (a little stiffer tho), you will be able to drive in 80% of NY streets. You don't have a lip yet, so with the mtech2 you'll be good to go. you'll learn how to take them. Sport springs are around $225 and they will improve your ride and look. Then upgrade to Coilovers when you get a some $$$.

Yeah i have been planning on getting H&R sport springs for a while now. Ill be putting on my splitters soon so if anything hopefully those will suffer instead of the actual mtech.

there are no higher spring rates for an xi. we have to go coils to get any significant drop. I went with the H&R springs and the ride was harsh by some standards.

+1. But overall, you get less roll and somehow harsher ride due to the higher spring rate on the XI which is a plus. Did you upgrade mounts too? I still recommend Sport Springs to the OP. I had this one on my coupe. The feeling is not that good until you upgrade Mounts. http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/b...%26R&tab=chart
