How do you remove a headlight bulb on facelift coupe?

Disclaimer: This is my first DIY attempt.

I have a 2006 325ci (coupe) with projector headlights that are equipped with halogen lights as opposed to xenons.

I recently ordered a HID kit online from DDMtuning that I was going to attempt to install myself. From what I've heard, an HID retrofit is supposed to be a relatively simple process but I'm stumped.

I popped the hood and opened the top cover of the headlight housing but I couldn't figure out what to do next. I was under the assumption that I would be able to see the back of the bulb and that all I had to do was turn it to unlock it and pull it out. But when I took off the headlight cover, I could only see the back of the ellipsoid shaped encasement in which the bulb sits. Do I have to remove that chrome piece to remove the bulb or is there some way to keep everything intact and still gain access to the bulb? PLEASE REFER TO THE PICTURES ATTACHED BELOW

Additionally, is the harness showed in the third picture the one for the headlight or is it the for the corner light bulb?

The attached images are what the inside of the headlight housing looks like. Please someone tell me how I could get to the bulb and remove it.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

first of all, you want to pull the black connector off. just pull straight out. then in the second picture, you see that metal clip? you want to push it to the side (to the left from the picture) so that it unclips. there's a little hook if you look close enough. then pull the clip down and the bulb should fall right out.

the third picture, it's the corner bulb.
