Hi everyone!!!
My car is doing some weird things and I think I have a big problem.... Here are the symptoms:
I think this could be head gasket :face palm: what do you think? any ideas or suggestions on how to confirm/discard this??? Last edited by Mau330i; 03-27-2012 at 11:46 PM. |

Sounds like a clear cut and dry case of head gasket failure. It's rough on a start because as it sits the cylinder is pooling up with antifreeze. If it gets worse you risk hydrolocking your engine and doing even more damage. You will need to replace the head gasket and while doing so you might as well get the head hot tanked, decked (if needed) new valve seals/guides, and all associated "while you're in there" type of fixes.
Replace your oil immediately too, it's probably completely saturated with antifreeze and you are risking spinning bearings or other oil related issues.
