I've decided to part with my beloved E46. This has been a fantastic daily driver and will make someone else very happy. I want this car to go to a fellow fanatic, or at least someone who appreciates the car for what it really is.
I should also add that I don't HAVE to sell the car. But for a plethora of reasons, I think it's time to let this one go. The asking price is a starting point. Make me an offer and perhaps we can find some middle ground that satisfies everybody.

Only one fog light works and I've not looked at it to see what the problem is. It might just be a bulb.
It has a faulty oil level sensor (common problem for these cars) and the oil level warning light comes on briefly every time you start the car despite having the proper oil level. I have verified, while I was doing the most recent oil change, that the sensor works correctly otherwise.
The power steering reservoir and hoses leak enough to leave a light residue after 500 miles or so of driving.
It has an unsurprising amount of oil leaks and oil usage (uses about 1 qt every 500 miles)
Minor water leaks during heavy rains that result in dampness in the driver's foot well
Cupholder in the console needs to be replaced, it doesn't stay put when you try to lift out a cup that fits tightly in the holder.
The A-, B-, and C-pillar fabric is starting to de-laminate.
The driver's seat is worn in the usual spots
The rear, driver side seat has some faded spots in the leather
Sometimes the sunroof will not close completely on the first try
The Passenger side mirror likes to occasionally reposition itself, usually after putting the car in reverse, it will move down like it should and then won't automatically return to it's original position.
The Extras - For the right price, I will also include the following:
3-series Maintenance Manual from Bentley Publishing ($120 value)
Fresh oil change (I always use Castrol Syntec 5W-30)
Brake System flush
Full tank of gas
11 oz. spray can of OEM matched touch-up paint
Dr. Colorchip touch-up paint kit
...And that's everything, honestly everything, that I know to be good and bad about the car. The thing is a dream to drive. The sport suspension is perfect, even on these pothole filled roads, it's firm but not too stiff. It's a great daily driver that gets an honest 28 mpg on the highway @ 70mph.

In all honesty man your price is too high. The car could potentially need a steering rack and/or pump, lines, tank for the power steering leak. Oil filter housing gasket, oil pan gasket, rear main seal, and possibly others to fix the oil leak. Some interior work and other things to make it a $7k+ car is needed. Your looking at $1500-2k+ in repairs if your not a diy'er JUST to get this thing up to good condition, which isn't including any maintenance it might need and that headache of a water leak. Just trying to help a fanatic out with a sell. Best of luck with the sell
Oh and 5% tint is VERY dark. You probably have 50%.

Yeah, I know. Thanks for the advice. I'm probably going to end up doing all the work you mentioned and then some. I've actually contemplated a full engine and trans rebuild once I have the room and time to do it. The other side of that coin is that the asking price was meant to be a starting point from which I could negotiate with a potential buyer. Perhaps the right person will come along once I've cleared out all the items in the "Problems" list.
