2003 330Xi Battery removal

Hi guys,
After the long strange winter we had, I was thinking of checking my 330's battery state.
Although, I've been told by that some cars require a code when replacing the battery to reactivate the radio and such...
Is this true..?
How to enter the code...?

You shouldn't need a code on an E46 330Xx model.
The radio codes were used in the 80s and into the late 90s on some models.

Late model E46 Radio manual is at the bottom of this page:

My Ride: slow and sorta low
worst thing that might happen is your radio stations that you have saved might be lost. ALso, when the battery is reinstalled dont freak out when you start your car and your traction control light, and a few other lights are on. Drive your car for a half a mile and they will be off. Mine were off by the time i got to the top of my driveway.

no it wont lose the radio preset. the steering angle sensor might need reset by turning the steering wheel from side to side.

That coding started with E90s. Changed 2 batteries with no special issues except needed to apply the brakes to cancel the brake/abs/dsc lights.
