i'm still talking about mirrors

hamann vs. hagus - now i've seen these two-pronged side mirrors on Ta's car and the mirror housing seems faily round.I've also seen two-pronged mirrors with a not so nice looking housing. is one hagus and the other hamann? or maybe the weird shaped one is a replica?

here are some pics to explain what i mean....

the black car's side mirrors seem oddly shapen while the mirrors on the other pics below seem more rounded and more of what i was going for....

heres the other car... are these the same mirror or not. the black mirror seems kinda pulled back, no?

Correct. Hamann mirrors are the same as Hagus.

so the only difference between the two at all is that the Hamann one says "Hamann" in small letters somewhere on the mirror and that's it? the Hagus says nothing on the mirror? or does it have a Hagus label?

Your correct. The Hagus dont have a label. The other difference is the price. Hamanns way too expensive.

you cant just put M3 mirrors on a sedan. or an least thats what i thought. i figured youd need custom bases and lots of work to get m3 mirrors on a sedan. i mean especially if we are talking OEM M3 mirrors right? i guess one can always go to ebay and find some dude who's got M3 replicas that he claims to fit a sedan. but i wont go that route.

I am nearly there

I am getting the modified bases made.

i already have a aluminium left hand one thats fits perfect to my sedan. i am currently preping the right one then its off to a local firm who is going to cost them for me to produce them out of aluminium casts.

The originals are aluminium anyway so its only the bolt holes and actual edges that needed building up and modifying.

I reckon I will have the prototypes in 2 weeks max.

That black sedan is Bryan from my crew(Dallas Crew), they are hagus, seeing them on his car convinced me to get them myself. I don't like M3 mirrors mainly because they are M3 mirrors, I like the shape but their from an M3 not for an E46 in IMO.
