Where to get this navi installed?

I posted this on the general forum but got no help, so I'll post here.

Thanks to Zivago, I was able to find out about the Navigation system that crevier BMW installs, but heres my problem. I called the person that installs their navi system out in California (I am in Ft. Worth Texas) and he says that installing the system is very complex, and he would recomend that only a certified BMW tech do the work. My dealership is refusing to touch any of this, so where can I get this thing installed? The guy I talked to said that when other people install it, half the time they do it wrong! Does anyone know of a place in this area that could install this system properly?

I can get the parts easily through Crevier, but installation is a *****

Here are the part numbers

84110007797
82111470457
51180015949

1300 + 300 for install ... I have a feeling IF I find a place to do it they will want 3x that for install lol

I have the same system. I did install it my self but the approx 3 hours is a huge understatement of the time it took me. My car was apart for 3 days. I didn't have a bentley manual or anything though, I was just going off the simple instructions provided. Figuring out how everything comes out was the hardest part. If you have access to a bentley manual it will go much faster. Also if you look at where you have to remove pin 2,3&4 from the X322 connector that is not simple. I couldnt find any alternative to the "Connector pin removal tool, PN 81 24 9 408 451" (bottom of introduction page) so I had to go to a BMW repair shop (the dealership wouldnt help unless i bought the tool). The wiring isnt that bad but from doing my intstallation I would be happy to give you some tips. The pic in my sig is of my dash torn appart its all installed now except for the bracket which has taken almost a month to get here. One more thing about the instructions since they were made a while ago. On the page with "Vehicle Trim Modification" where it shows the trim panel under the steering wheel the BMW Phone system now goes through the car's regular speakers so you would have to put your own speaker down there, however it didnt look like there was any space and there is a speaker built into the screen which works fine.

Sorry for the long post hope this helps. If you have any more questions my AIM screen name is speedinbluebima

If you are a member of the BMW Car Club of America you can get a 10% discount on parts you order from your dealership including things like oil and an oil filter (if you change your oil yourself)

Does Pacific BMW give you a 10% discount also? Their prices already seem pretty low.

Not sure I've never ordered from them, I always go to my local dealership.

Cars in the shop until monday those bastards lied. The bracket hasn't come in 4 weeks but isnt a complicated thing to install after all the electronics. Its ghetto mounted, Ill post pics of the ghetto mount, the bracket if it ever comes and here are some pics of the install and some tips.

Taking out the trunk panels is the easiest part of the install.

There is a place to feed the wires through, then tuck them in where the cars wiring goes.
