Trading in my e46

Wow I can across amazing deal and if it works out mine is gone. This e46 I'm looking at in mint...perfect shape. The dealer is part of cca he owns BMW's himself. Beautiful car mystic blue 330ci 2006 zhp manual with premium sound package and sport of course cause its zhp, convertible. I talked him down to 18 out the door. It will be lil more cause of mine being traded in but that's what he is giving it to me for. I'm pretty excited. I'll post some pics later.

Wat. That's like a 21k+ ZHP...

Better be stupidly low miles, since that's easily M3 territory.

So let me get this straight. $18K+ your 328 trade in for a 06 ZHP coupe? What options/interior/mileage does it have?

And agree with the above poster. Def crossing quality E46 ///M3 territory.

Does sound like a high price particularly for a non-M, is this car 18 thousand dollars better than your current car?

that seems about right. MHO. 2000-2002 M3 run for $20k with the right amount of miles. a 2006 vehicle with under 60K is worth $20K. If your trading in your E46??? I don't know. id settle at $15k with my E46. but thats me. Good luck. Dueces.

Just as a strong reference for you (and anyone else making the jump to a ZHP/M3). For what you call an "Amazing deal" you can get something like this for about the same price.

If what has been said holds true $18,000 Plus your 328i trade in you could have this instead for what you will pay for that Non-M.

Wow, that is really expensive for a non-m e46. Sorry but I would not spend that kind of money on an e46, unless it is a well kept M3.

For around 22K you can get an e92 if you look hard enough. My friend just got a CPO 2009 e90 for 25k from chapman BMW in Arizona 2 weeks ago.

I almost gave in for one when the BMW dealership here showed me a 328xi e92 and was giving me 4K value for my 01 coupe, but realized I shouldn't take payments on the car for now

But hey if you like the car, go for it. Its your money and your choice.

Wayyyy too expensive. IMO, ZHPs are really overrated.

You already own an E46. The only E46 you should be considering at this time should be an M3. With the kind of money you are willing to spend on this ZHP you can find an M3 in relatively good condition that will blow the doors off a ZHP.

It'd better be pretty low miles to be worth that. What's he giving you for your car?

Check out nada and cars.com to find some comparable vehicles and base your decision of "good deal" off of that. Personally, though, it sounds like you're still paying too much.

Too expensive. Aside from some of the nice interior touches, a ZHP doesn't have much on a standard 330i/Ci.

You are talking about a lot of money to be spend on a not so big upgrade. Not worth it man.
Upgrade to e46 m3. E90 335i. Or change to another more efficient car for long term savings.

Ya I dont really want the maintenance envolved with m3's but 330ci is fine. It has 74k miles and completely mint condition.
nada and kbb is 23 on this, yes I could get older m3 but im wanting newer car then what I have now.
Sound package, zhp package that I know of.

Im also wanting to get away from my older e46 because I need to put in decent amount of money to get it perfect again from DSC/brake/abs cautions to vanos rebuild to whatever else may break. I love e46's mine is one from hell. Ive put tranny in mine...Time to call it a day. Hate all you want I just need to get out of mine into a decent one that doesnt have problems like mine does. Im not person that hates e46's and I maintained mine like it should be.

Here is the thing though: you got an illusion you're safe from spending money because you got this one.

I hope you have no problems with it, but personally I wouldn't have spent 18k on a non-m. That's just me and my opinion.

Enjoy the car man!

Never said im "safe" but alot of issues were taken care of in older e46's like subframe issues etc. I dont have problem with normal stuff, mine just isnt normal.
