lol. You should have just let it go. Now you just look like an idiot.
------------------------------------------------------------------ 790.0655 Purchase and delivery of handguns; mandatory waiting period; exceptions; penalties.-- (1)(a) There shall be a mandatory 3-day waiting period, which shall be 3 days, excluding weekends and legal holidays, between the purchase and the delivery at retail of any handgun. "Purchase" means the transfer of money or other valuable consideration to the retailer. "Handgun" means a firearm capable of being carried and used by one hand, such as a pistol or revolver. "Retailer" means and includes every person engaged in the business of making sales at retail or for distribution, or use, or consumption, or storage to be used or consumed in this state, as defined in s. 212.02(13). (b) Records of handgun sales must be available for inspection by any law enforcement agency, as defined in s. 934.02, during normal business hours. (2) The 3-day waiting period shall not apply in the following circumstances: (a) When a handgun is being purchased by a holder of a concealed weapons permit as defined in s. 790.06. (b) To a trade-in of another handgun. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Palm Beach County's waiting period is intended to provide a "cooling off period" for potentially hot-tempered gun buyers. It also allows time to run a criminal background check before completing a sale. The county's waiting period applies to any sales at gun shops, gun shows, pawn shops and other places outside of personal sales gun owners might make from home. The county's waiting period is waived for gun buyers with a valid state concealed weapons permit. While sticking with a stricter gun-buying waiting period, the county is also planning to file a lawsuit challenging the state's penalties for local gun laws. The Florida Legislature since the 1980s has maintained that only the state, not city and county governments, can impose firearm regulations. But that didn't stop cities and counties from passing local gun rules. ------------------------------------------------------------------- September 13, 2011|By Andy Reid, Sun Sentinel Palm Beach County on Tuesday officially wiped its local gun regulations off the books to comply with a state law pushed by the National Rifle Association. The Legislature long held that only the state, not cities and counties, had the right to regulate firearms. After the NRA complained about local governments imposing their own rules, the Legislature this year established $5,000 fines for local officials who tried to enforce local gun rules. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Any more smart azz comments?

What answer do you want?
You can walk into any gun store in Florida and buy a gun and have it 3 days later without a CWL. You can walk into any gun store in Florida and buy a gun and walk out with it within an hour with a CWL. Same applies to gun shows. I already gave you a link to buy it cheaper than retail without leaving your city. How could it possibly be easier and dramatically cheaper to buy out of state later and pay $20-$25 for shipping. Regardless, it should be shipped back to a local FFL dealer anyway. That will cost you another $25-$50 on top of the previous totals. In addition, I doubt you can even buy a handgun out of state in person. You really are stupid. Good luck with getting better answers or any answers after others read this. I would love to know how you came to the conclusion that I am hood rat. I don't need to skate around the law to buy a gun.

so what exactly are you looking to circumvent? The "hoodrat" has already given you the answer to your question.
if you're just looking at a pure price comparison at where to buy from, you should be able to do that for yourself without a problem. You can also try Buds Guns. I've never bought from them personally, but their prices are supposed to be good.

Glockman has told you everything you wanted to know. I just think there's something being lost in translation, which is on your end. Regardless of what your state laws are, buying a gun out of state requires that you ship the weapon back to an FFL dealer in your state for the 4473 transfer. You can't ship it back to yourself. The exception is if you are given a rifle as a gift or inherit one. Then you can. Otherwise, with a purchase, you have to ship it to an FFL. I sold a rifle to a guy in another state. By law, I had to ship the rifle to an FFL in his state. The only exemption for a sale is if your state has a reciprocity agreement with the state you are buying the gun in, which only typically happens in bordering states. I.E. if you are in MN, you can buy a long gun if you're from SD, ND, WI or IA.

@ "hoodrat"Alkemyst, you had better get your facts straight. Glockman is one of about 5 in this gun sub forum that knows this stuff very, very well. 2 of the others (Reedo and JonJon) both also responded, confirming his conclusion. You show him great disrespect for someone who is giving you fantastic information that could keep you out of trouble. News flash: I know of no state that will sell a handgun to an out-of-state resident in-person and if they do sell it, it will be transferred through an FFL to you. When you go to retrieve it there, you'll have the customary 3 day wait if you don't have the CCP. Also, Florida is one of, if not the, easiest state to buy guns in and you oftentimes get the best prices here. Something about what you're trying to do doesn't stack up for me.

This has been a rather entertaining read for the day!
![]() Not sure where the "hoodrat" crap came from, or why the OP is so defensive when all of his questions were answered immediately and clearly. When he is talking about the laws recently changing, I wonder if he is referring to state statute 790.33? It's possible that his city or county had some unlawful rules on the books.
