Interior swap - heated seat problem

I have just completed an interior swap in my 323 vert. I installed a cinnamon interior from an M3 vert. The seats are heated and I swapped in the control above the ashtray from the M3 with the seat heater controls. The problem is now my top (manual, electric tonneau release) doesn't work and the seat heaters don't work. The dsc button functions normally. When I push the seat heater buttons, all 3 lights blink and then go out and nothing happens.

Some of the options on a car have to be programmed in to the computer, otherwise they are not recognised and do not function. Not sure if the heated seat option requires to be programmed in, but worth checking especially if you are sure they worked on the M3 that they came from. Not sure why the top would stop working. What lights do you get on the top raise / lower buttons?
