Freshly resprayed Black Sapphire Metallic M-tech Touring build thread

Hi Guys,

I sold my previous E46 (see here http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=919204) and got a new one instead Got fed up of the automatic gearbox and the fact that I could never fit anything inside the car. I never made a thread of my new ride because I never thought it was thread worthy.. Until now

When I first got the car, it looked like this:

18" OEM wheels (the really ugly 18" m-tech ones), black-out tint on every single light, CF vinyl over the kidney grills etc.

After ripping off all the vinyls, lots of maintenance (rear subframe reinforcement, suspension parts, filters, fluids, gaskets, spark plugs etc), some FK coilovers and wheels from my coupe, it looked like this:

Much better

But I soon realized that all of the small scratches here and there, some rust spots and parking lot dings were making the car look old and "used". so I decided to rip the car apart and send it to a bodyshop for a full respray. This is how I left it there for 2 weeks:

And this is how I got it back:

The side skirts were not installed because they were accidentally painted in a different color. They sorted it out of course and I installed them yesterday and washed the car to go for a little shoot today. Well, it started to rain today but I decided to take a few pics anyway, so here they are:

Thats it for now, thanks for looking

Love the X5 wheels though they could use some wider tires.
