Bushing overhaul subframe

i changed out all the bushings today in the rear of my car today and i ran into this one issue the ebrake cable slipped out of the rear drum.......do i just push the end back into the hole and it clicks into place?

how do i get it to fit back in!

Spaghettidecoder.org...find the TIS for it. I haven't done it, but I'm pretty sure you won't get by with just sticking in the hole it slipped out of. I could be wrong, but kind of doubt it.

You did all that bushing work...seems like you'd sense that there's more to it than this.

If you can't find an answer, come back and I'll see if Bentley has something to say about it. And, btw, you should get Bentley...best part you could buy for your car.

yeaaa i pulled it many times to try and get it out when i was trying to drop the subframe.......but i had to go in the car and release the 2 10mm screws and pulled them out......but when i was assembling everything back together it just popped out just like that with no effort at all........and btw bushings are a PITA!!

and i really cant find it bro....i really dont wanna have to take appart the whole ebrake mechanism.....your help would be great.

This - http://tis.spaghetticoder.org/s/view.pl?1/04/44/24 - seems to imply that you may be able to do it without further disassembly. Although, it is certainly not hard with the rotor off.

Bentley says exactly the same thing. I haven't done this, as I said, so I hope Luke's instructions work for you.

Also, make sure you don't tighten the nuts on the handbrake too tight...if it breaks, replacement is a royal pain I hear.
