Wow, that's some insane torque. Can you share more details? Size of the turbo and compression. What kind of fuel?

Bump this for more dynos! Especially AA STG2 330 cars as I'm about to pull the trigger on this kit... Can you guys comment on how it drives/how much faster it actually is vs. stock? I know it's all subjective, but still.

Economics not in favor here.

Most people buying a non-M these days are spending pretty close to their whole budget on the car. ($10k) Spending another $6-10k on mods isn't really in the cards.

A few years ago, when a new non-M was $35-40k, spending another $10k on mods wasn't a big deal for the buyer.

Of course...this thread might be the inverse: People who spend $10k on a car, and $35-40k in mods. Who the heck would do that?

Wait a minute....

Mustang dyno was used
Whp - 279 / Wtq - 247
Miles on engine - 60k
Miles with Turbo - 10k
Only issue was a slight oil leak from the turbo to oil pan. Easy fix.

I hear you, but since when are any of us here making responsible financial decisions with respect to car modding?

My friends tell me not to put more money into my old, high mileage car. But seeing as I won't have an income for a while as I'm back I'm university for med school, this car is as good as it gets for several years. It would be a different story if I was working and had a larger budget to get into a new car. I love it, and won't ever sell it as I'll never get back the tens of thousands I've invested, so why not finish her off with a major motor upgrade? Besides, it's built for that anyway (upgraded clutch, subframe, diff, transmission, etc)

Thanks, 11.46 because we run E85 fuel. My friend Rey. I love mine so far, it took some time to sit and think how to get everything to work together happy. But worth it.

Have you worked with MS on other platforms? sr20? rb's? etc? How would you compare bmw to them in terms of difficulty?

Isuzu's, a few other BMW's, a Mustang or two. In all honesty, they're all easy as long and you follow MS's setup advice and have factory diagrams from your car to double check with. MS is making a lot Plug & Play EMS's recently for a lot of cars(including the SR's and what not)

Need to get the boost leak fixed and maybe a retune (I have a week off coming up) and go back to the dyno.. numbers seem very low to me.. We hooked up a vac line to the dyno computer and it only read a max of 2.1psi..

Any suggestions?

This thread gives me hope about doing F/I on my car down the line. Has anybody had any issues with the Head rising? What can be done to prevent this?

If you keep the boost in the single digits and medium to low timing you should be fine with the stock head bolts. Any higher I'd suggest head studs (ARP or raceware) to keep the head down
