Hello E46 Fanatics members,
It’s great to see so many of you interested in the KW product. It seems there are some misunderstandings concerning the KW’s though. There have been references to the KW Variant 2’s leaking; this is not true. The KW Variant 2’s are built by KONI, using INDUSTRY STANDARD shock seal technologies and feature a LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTEE.
The AL-KO built Variant 1 shocks feature STATE OF THE ART INDUSTRY LEADING TECHNOLOGIES that are NOT FOUND IN CONVENTIONAL SHOCK ABSORBERS. This new design Teflon seal acts like an “umbrella” and opens up against the chamber wall to create a superior seal while maintaining low friction and low heat on the chamber wall. The seal is also designed to prevent a possible blow-out of the internal seal, a situation that is possible with a conventional shock absorber when under extreme duress, such as a large pothole, etc. Throughout the course of the upcoming seasons, KW will expand the AL-KO technology to all applications of KW suspensions. All KW products featuring AL-KO parts also have a limited lifetime warrantee.
If you have any other questions or would like more information, please do not hesitate to go to our website at www.kwsuspensions.com or email us directly at info@kwsuspensions.com
