clueless class III dealers
Went on a little demo yesterday trying out various cans/hosts from a local class III dealer.
Now, I'm not going to name any names and they were rather cool guys but they had no clue what a m2hb was! I was asking about a can for my m2 and I literally had to explain to them what a ma duce was..... 2 of my friends bought a SS sparrow, a trident 9, a osprey 45 and a sig p220 host. I'm leaning to a .223 can myself after shooting one of theres but with it being very difficult for me to get time off to complete the paperwork thats going to have to wait. |

yup, I said m2hb and there they stand 100% clueless.... I finally said the big belt fed gun that the military uses, THEN they got it
Took about 30 seconds tossing out hints before they cought on. typical middle aged medium over weight guys, camo's bloused with military boots and paracord shoe strings.... came in all big and bad at first but warmed up qucik. At first it was hard to take them searious, they let us waste alot of ammo but sold 4 items in the process, all in all a pretty fun night. Still looking for a good fifty can, I want a setup like this.. Gona use it for coyote hunting.... ![]() |

SR5 maybe for the .223/5.56? Still can't really believe they discontinued the SPR/M4; can't wait to get mine.
Also, the Cyclops doesn't work for the .50 can you're looking for? Heard it was pretty good, just really expensive

The cyclops is a LW can not designed for a m2. AAC them selves said This about that can on a m2...
"I don't think you should do it until we do more testing. We did make this a lightweight can after all. If I was designing it for an M2 it would be 2 lbs heavier." The m2 has a recoiling barrel assembly and has a 1000lb recoil force both back and then forward when being fired. (hints why optics dont last long) I dont want to beat that can to death. |

There in lies the problem, nobody has any experiance with the .50 cans.
I'd love to have the AAC for a AR50 or the likes but not going to risk it on the m2. They say the cyclops is hearing safe, id love to atleast demo one. maybe with one we could keep pistols on the bench... |
