If you get a beefy tire like a Star Spec or the Michelin Pilot Super Sport or PS2 it really isn't a stretch, technically it's square.

Brian N's 255/35/18 PSS on a 9.5" ARC-8

BTW 9.5" * 25.4mm = 241.3mm rim width, the tire is wider, technically, than the wheel. An absolutely square setup (255 tire on a 255 rim) has the tendency to look a bit stretched.

Thanks! Ive seen Brian N's thread..
I really love the PS2s but i don't want to spend that much right now..
I was thinking about Nankang NS2s..
I know that there are differences between the tire brands on how they stretch..
Which tire brands have soft sidewalls?

Ugh. Don't buy Nankangs or Ling Longs or any other crap brand. If you're on a budget go with Hankooks or Sumitomos, they aren't at the top of the totem poll but at least they're on it. It's not enough of a stretch that you need a tire good for stretching- they all have a little flexibility in them.

Once again your rim is 241.3mm wide and the tire is 255mm wide.

Don't put Nankang crap on your car please.... It's not just about handling, it's about safety, too.

Hankooks are at the top of the totem pole. All brands have cheap and expensive... Hankook just has really cheap and really expensive
