Under drive pulley cons?

So my belts are squeaking and I was already planning on upgrading to get a little bit more power out of my m54, I was thinking about the rogue engineering under drive pulleys? My car already had problems with the cooling system, even though I got it fixed I'm wondering if there would be a noticeable difference in the cooling system??

Take that money you were going to spend on pulleys, and actually fix the cooling system.

Who cares if you pick up a few HP if you get stranded when your car overheats.

ive had em for over 3 years now on a M52TU. no issues at all. No negative side effects. steering was marginally heavier in parking lots, but its not something you'lll remember after 2 days.
A lot of people say you cant notice the difference with em, but i feel like i redline quicker. The day i installed it i hit redline accidentally several times getting on HWYs... after a few hours of driving tho, u quickly adjust.

I have the WP and PS pulleys. i opted not to underdrive the alternator as i have a high wattage stereo system.

Agreed / Same.

As long as other things are up to date, like your cooling system; I say go for them. Do understand that in the real world they're worth 3-5 WHP.

Good luck,
Rob.

Agreed, just replaced my pullies and belts the other day and threw in the rogue engineering set while I was in there and it's a nice little upgrade.

Here's the website, the pulleys on my 330Ci are from them & work perfectly, BUT..................

I've tried to get a hold of KO Performance on several occasions with NO luck, so I'd make sure they're in business before ordering.

You could probably contact Rogue and see if they'd sell you the one pulley. Blocked Out I'm guessing you know this based on your general knowledge, but the Continental belts kinda suck... one of mine started squealing with less than 10k miles on it, with a new BMW belt no more noise.

Also: I've observed more people seem to give positive feedback when they buy the Rogue pulleys than others, but really technically there shouldn't be any difference between them I guess- as long as the specs are similar.

TMS pulleys, no negatives. No noticable increase in performance.

I have used UUC pulleys I picked up locally for a good price. Didn't really notice a difference, but every little bit helps on my 325 I guess. UUC was nice enough to email me the belt size I needed too, which I picked up at Advanced Auto. I def wouldn't have spent $200+ new on them though, for the gains it really isn't worth it in my opinion.

I dropped one MPG when I went with my pulleys. Other than that, no cons that I know of. I can't really tell the difference but it "seems" to pull easier with the pulleys.
