That seems high to me, especially for a Mustang dyno. I made Modbargains an offer to dyno the exhaust on a totally stock 330Ci, though! Let's see what they say.

AFE makes a fine product. I don't doubt that the exhaust will make power. It's not that I don't trust AFE's dyno, I don't trust ANY manufacturer's dyno. If I were trying to sell that exhaust at that price, I'd have a reputable vendor do a shootout of several exhausts that are roughly the same design (SuperSprint, TSE3, Magnaflow, and AFE).

I've been to aFe and I've seen Dyno runs done before on other cars. aFe is not one to boost any HP numbers by any means, there's no reason for them to do that.

I like your idea of a shootout with different exhausts, I really do, but it would be hard to organize, especially since we don't have a dyno lol.

I really like how it sounds, it's absolutely staying on the car lol sorry. It's really deep, it sounds real nice. No drone at highway speeds, even with music all the way off and windows up.

Feel free to contact me directly for my work hours. Most of the time I'm here every day 8AM-5PM, but Thursdays I'm here 10AM-7PM. Just send me a PM whenever you're thinking about coming down to make sure I'm here and not out on lunch or something

I've had headers on the car before, but I took them out, what's in there now is just the stock manifolds. I would think with headers it would sound amazing, but also really loud, I would be hesitant to put headers on if you get this system if you ask me, but that's my personal preference.

your not thinking as loud as a uuc exhaust with headers are you? is it more comparable to borla or magna flow with headers?

With headers, I'm thinking it could be as loud as if not louder than headers with the UUC system. The other exhaust guys on this forum said not to do with headers as it's too loud is the Rogue DMS which I had with headers for the longest time, and that was loud. I had the DMS on with stock headers, and when you compare that system to the AFE, it is a bit louder than the DMS which would mean, with headers, oh boy.

hey by looking at the for sale page on mod bargains.com the exhaust tips look like they are angled upwards. is that true and do they actually go upwards

hopefully they are just a straight out appearance.

It's the angle of the photo. You'll see it in person though, they're not pointed upwards like DTM tips for example. They're double walled slash cut tips.

Resonators will make the exhaust quieter and eliminate some droan. Most of the time when the cats are removed the droan gets excessive so resonators are added in to combat that. As far as an X-Pipe goes, that is just manufacturer preference. Typically an X-pipe will make the exhaust sound a bit more raspy so the manufacturer will add them to achieve the desired sound.

Let me know what you think of the video!
