Commercial Plates Question

I have a deposit down on a 2002 325iT and I'm looking for some local info.

I've lived in NYC and Boston for the last several years so I haven't owned a car.

I see the signs on the Merritt and on FDR that say "no commercial vehicles".

If I register it in my business name I assume that I'd get CT commercial plates, would that exclude me from driving on the FDR & Merritt Parkway? I don't need a headache but for tax and liability purposes it's better if I can keep everything in my business.

If you register it in CT u can get combination plates which would allow you to drive on all highways. NY on the other hand does not have that option as it is either commercial or private.
