Help Removing Front Seatbacks (hard plastic on the back of the seat)

hey i recently bought some Carbon Fiber seat backs for my 2005 E46 Coupe to replace my worn plastic ones (with the mesh net on the back of the front seats). From the looks of the Carbon fiber backs its just 2 rivets and a latch that hold it on.

Is there anything else i need to do to take the old plastic ones off other than the rivets at the bottom? If i break the rivets (heard that was a problem) where can i get new ones? BMW?

Simple question, sounds dumb but i dont want to break anything and im not starting this project till tomorrow.

Thanks in advance!

there are two plastic clips on the bottom you have to pull out, then you just slide it up and pull back.

Taking those plastic rivets are close to impossible without damaging the actual hole and rivet itself.
Best is to just cut the heads off, and use new rivets.

Thanks for the reply.
Would you know where I can get new plastic rivets from? Dealer here can only supply full fitting kit, including rivets, which is expensive. Cannot just supply rivets so keen to trace these online but there are various sizes out there.

Many thanks

local auto parts store. you probably wont find exact mach but something close to it will do the job. just make sure its as thick as the old one.
