FS: new Powerflex “XI”-only FCABs / LCABs – prepressed front control arm bushings

Pair of new Powerflex polyurethane e46 325xi/330xi FCABs (front control arm bushings) already pressed in to OE lollipops. These are the 60mm dia bushings and lollipops for the all-wheel drive XI only. Ready to slip on to your control arms and bolt on to tighten up your front end handling. No messing around with DIY swearing at improvised bushing pressing or going to a machine shop pressing out/in the bushings while your car is jacked up. Powerflex bushings already pressed into housings are not sold anywhere online for the XI. These are the “updated” Powerflex PFF5-4601xi units designed specifically for the xi. These updated PF units prevent the issue of the inner bush “riding up” the control arm.

Selling for $169 shipped + $60 core charge. Once complete, you send back your old lollipops to me (in good shape) and I refund the core charge. Just for reference, that’s a good bit cheaper than the $231 (without shipping) that stock rubber bushings go for pre-pressed from the one online retailer that offers pre-pressed units.

If you check my sig, you’ll see that I’ve been doing a similar swap service for others with positive results…

What if I send you the bushing and you press it in a lollipop for me then when I have it installed I'll send you my old lollipop with old bushing

How much is that? Since I'm providing the bushing and returning a lollipop

I will have to pass on even trying that. Reason being that XI fcabs are especially a PITA to press and that the fluid filled stock rubber is known to suck and not last long on the XI.

If you end up with extra XI lollipops, I may be interested in buying them.

I was referring to having you press the powerflex bushings for me not the stock ones

hey the fly I'm curious about the eccentric orientation of the bushing inside the housing. I see you have lined up the small skinny portion of the bushing with the mounting arm, as shown in your set of directions. The powerflex website pdf directions show the opposite. http://powerflexusa.com/images/insta...5-4601xifi.pdf Any knowledge of them changing this recently?_nr_

Good question. I have seen those PF instructions and think they have mistakenly applied the orientation of other 3-series offset FCABs to the XI. The XI has the lollipop mounting holes/arm on the flipside to most bimmers. Hence, their mistake.

See the orientation in this xi DIY. It also has the skinny side towards the mounting arm like mine.

Thanks fly for the response. The powerflex instructions even say, "The outer bush needs to be fitted so that the eccentric bush pushes the arm toward the outside of the car." And it does if installed that way.

If that is incorrect they really need to fix the instructions. I also found some pix of the oem setup which have the skinny side facing the mounting holes. A while back I installed aftermarket rubber bushings (junk - wore out in 6 mos) and found a detailed drawing of the orientation but can't seem to find it now.

I recently upgraded to powerflex and installed them per included instructions with skinny side facing mounting holes. Then a few days later I happen to see the powerflex website instructions which show the opposite, and thought oh crap did I mess up?
