Periodic header tightening?

Installing ebay headers tomorrow at a shop. They mentioned that the headers require periodic tightening over time and that most people don't bother to come in to get them re-tightened. Can anyone confirm this? Is this a serious issue and how often is this necessary?

I have heard of this before and the fact that there are many different types of header screws and lock washer devices I do not doubt it is a common issue. I am sure it is even more of an issue with a straight 6 just because the head is longer than the traditional V8.

There are some speed shops - like Summit Racing - that offer special bolts that do NOT back off/loosen. Worth checking out.
