Long tube cai guys and rain!!
Hey guys so I just got a carbon fiber Dinan high flow cai.. My question is. Being obvious that if water would go into the engine it would seize it from wat I heard. Have any of u had an issue with water going into the air filter being that its at the bottom of the car in front of the air duct? Any tips on minimizing rain from hitting it while still letting the air hit it? Just thought I'd ask. Just saw the news and saw that its ganna be raining over here for like the next 3 days.. I'm in SoCal
Thanks in advance!!

+1 on getting a watersock. Pretty good investment anyway, great peace of mind.

I would definitely have a water sock on it, just for peace of mind. Cheap insurance.

Where can I get one of these water socks? I've looked on Dinan.com but no luck. Any one know?

Dude your fine. We don't have pig ass puddles like that over here. Just don't purposely go in them.

It doesn't have to be a puddle to stop your motor. A really heavy downpour can do it as well. My buddies supercharged RSX Type-S turned off while we were driving on the freeway in a downpour. He had a long tube cold air but also no fender guards (the plastic stuff around the wheels). The point is, if it can get wet, it can F you up.

Yea just get a sock I have the same set up works great. The only thing you have to worry about is snow with them. Pretty sure you won't see that at all though.

The thing with the water sock is that it also restrict the flow and this defeats one the purpose for having a Cai

I hope you have halogens and not bi-xenons because that system will not fit if you have the latter. I would know, the tube wouldn't clear the xenon ballast and the included ballast relocation bracket is for pre-facelift cars.

Thanks for all the info guys! I'm staying away from big puddles and keeping my distance from cars infront of me that are spaying water lol. This rain here in SoCal has just had me on the edge haha, comes and goes. So far so good but thanks again everyone!
