Still don't understand why but for some reason they still use 98 and XP to run this type of software

i even tryed it on win 7 32bit and no go. The problem is the usb drivers will not install with any other OS above Windows XP

I had the same scanner today. but I m really angry..I plug usb for pc damn USB Serial Port doesnt find. And when I open the Bmw scanner so there s reading Device Drivers Are not installed.. Can u send me softwares and Drivers please. I m usin Windows 7 64 bit..

The problem is that you can only use this scanner on Windows 98 or Windows XP

The usb drivers will not install on any other OS other than 98 or Xp

So what you will need to do is install 98 or xp on to your laptop to use it

No you can install xp on any computer the laptop in the videos is a New one that i got another hard drive for and installed XP on to that one

Mine is almost in my hands its in new jersey now so maybe before sat i should get mine so I can turn off the driving day light since i put angel eyes yesterday and looks weird with them ddl on.

Can you code a different (used) DME to your car with this scanner? Thanks in advance

Hey Abby I just got mine yesterday and today I installed the software and had to update the drivers cause it didn't want to work and then when i connect it does not read the IKE and cause of that when i scan everything else says not found. Do you know what could be the problem?


Edit: after research and research on this I came across and learned yes everyday i learn something new about bmw and what I found is that for the year of her car 2000 it has the obd2 RECTANGLE port under the dash driver side and has the obd diagnostic ROUND port under the hood also which i had no clue, I was plugging it in under the dash port and most likely that's why I was getting the IKE error so ill will try later on when the sun comes up and look for the port under the hood and hope i don't encounter any more problems.

when I plugg the scanner into my car (2000 BMW 328ci) and I am getting***65279; the following errors:

Connection Error with IKE , then

Connection Error with EWS

False, many users including myself have this properly installed on Windows 7 64 and 32 bit

I bought mine a few weeks ago, can't wait for it to come in. I need to code the OEM alarm I bought.

Well then do enlighten us then

I tried both and it could not find it i also did a search for drivers and found none

This topic has been covered extensively and many people have gotten it installed without any issues. Perhaps you should do your homework beforehand
