Need some help on a b25 to b30 swap PLEASEEE

Hey everyone, I have a big project ahead of me. I have a '02 325ci 5 speed, and I am in need of a whole replacement motor. I am wanting to drop in a b30 this time around and gain a little more ponies.

So my big question is, has anyone ran a b30 swap with the b25 throttlebody and intake manifold/MAF and b25 tune? Any issues with that setup? I know with that setup I won't see full 330 numbers but I eventually plan on swapping to the full 330 setup and tune.

The reason I'm asking is I'm not sure if a replacement motor will come with the manifold/TB, and if that's the case then I will most likely plan on using my components until I can get extra cash to get the DME flashed and the b30 components.

Thanks in advance guys, I am pretty excited to do this swap and gain a lil extra power!

330 throttle body is bigger than 325. I don't think 325 throttle body can fit on 330 manifold. Bigger hole

Why not flash the DME yourself? You can get all the stuff you need for $50 maximum, and it's pretty easy to flash a 330 tune

The only thing you would need is your throttle body. You can retain the 330 intake manifold for extra power and adapt your throttle body to the larger manifold with the adaptors available. Mine for example

So I would need an adapter to mate a b25 TB to a b30 manifold? It doesnt bolt right up? From what I've read, the only adapters I've seen are the ones that convert the drive by wire to the cable throttle linkage.

You can run the b25 intake manifold and injectors and throttle body it will run fine.

Just be sure to get yourself ready for the b30 manifold swap and throttle body swap, as well as the injectors and flash down the road.

Ok so thinking about purchasing the b30 manifold and TB for the b30 motor to avoid hassles, would a b25 MAF work with the b30 manifold and TB without adapters? Cuz that's prob gonna be the only part that I think will cost something ridiculous. And maybe I can send my DME to ESS for a 330 map?

The 325 maf would fit if you get a reducer to fit the maf since the 325 maf is smaller than 330 maf. Although, I don't know how the dme would react with 330 maf installed. Since more air is going through
