Is it the oem AUX? If so i installed mine right by the passanger seat heat button on the control panel for seat heating dsc and HK sound... Take it out, drill a whole in the open pathway right by the switch on the far right side.

It looks perfect like OEM and easy to connect to by anyone. I dont know why someone would have it in glove box when you need the source to control anything.

you can put it in any place of the car. most of us route the cable to the middle compartment or where pawl mentioned. its basically your preference

I ran mine through the eurotray. I originally intalled the input female connection right in the DSC and heated seats bar, but I didn't like the cord all over my shifter and window buttons all the time. Now in the eurotray if i am not using it is is not seen.

Purchased this: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/FLUSH-MOUNT-A...item2c5b47cae0

And installed it in the small center tray that sits in front of the coin holder.

So you can tuck it away, or just have another iPod unit in the car at all times

The whole job took me about 20 minutes. I didn't undo the battery because I didn't unplug the head unit. Once you pry the trim off around the radio, it'll expose the screws that hold the head unit in. Unscrew them, slide the radio out, plug in the Aux In, snake the cord back behind the radio and down to wherever you wish it to be, screw the radio back in, gently press your trim back in place, plug in your iPod, turn on your radio, push "Mode" button until Aux shows up, open a beer, crank some tunes, and get on with your life.
