Which Cold Air Intake?

Which cold air intake will have a decent sound with the best performance. (I know cold air intakes dont do to much for performance wise but every little bit helps ) and if you could put up links of where to get them as well would be greatly appreciated! Im new here so please dont hate to much lol, got a 2002 BMW e46 330ci.

every aftermarket intake sounds the same, just open your air box and call it a day... it sounds exactly the same as a $400 intake and intakes dont really give you any gains if anything its prob like 2-5HP and an open airbox can give you the same results but if you wantto spend the money just to have an aftermarket intake under your hood then just get the k&n intake with the heat shield or the afe intake with heat shield

thanks for the response and the info! Yea im just gonna stick with the stock for now and change the filter whenever i sense a lack of air flow the price for 2-3 hp isnt the greatest, plus i have headers lined up and a exhaust system so the sound should be there

K&N 1002 I think. It gives up to 9 hp. I'm getting it next week. So I'll let you know if it actually delivers on it's promise of adding that much hp

i had the k&n 1002 intake and it doesnt do anything in performance... it just sounds really nice, the best thing for gains on our 330's are headers, exhaust, cams, chip and rear end thats about it

What would you say would be the cheaper or best to do first? I have Headers and exhaust coming already, but what about for cams and chip?

headers is the number 1 thing, you will automatically gain good numbers with that, and since you have an exhaust coming that should make it even better. your 2nd + 3rd gear is going to feel so much better, less restrictive. and for cams just get zhp cams, im not sure if ecs still sells them but you can get them for 400 bucks from them and for a tune aka chip you can go to AA active autowerkz. they are the best hands down..i loved my tune from them.

Ok cool, for the tune do i have to take my car to them or do they have the option to send them something so they can tune it? And ill look for those cams and see what prices i can find hopefully all this together will make for a nice sound difference and a decent power gain!

I have the cosmos racing V2 CAI, I love it, it's the only REAL CAI still on the market and dyno'd by iceman here for +7whp, and it sounds $200 for an amsoil filter +hydrowrap, it's worth it, I vouch for this product every time I can!
