Nah. Our builds aren't that different. The only people who look bad in bow ties are people with fat necks or double chins.

It's a super slow day at work. I actually left the office and came home. The staff folks are working along and I don't have any appointments today. Plus the kids have minimum day at school so I came home so I'd be here when they got here.

At least about the three chins. I dunno about your neck size--I didn't look that closely.

Weird. But still: it's not a fat neck.

have a few days before a wedding and need a proper tie to wear. i have two slim ones that fit nicely with my build (5'10, 150lbs) but have worn them previously and dont want to repeat. as far as a normal fitting tie, what are important things to look for? is there a specific way to find one that "fits" properly? the one im using now as a placeholder has a nice design but is too long and too wide for my body. to make it fit somewhere close to right, id have to stuff way too much under my collar.

A good general rule is that your tie should be about as wide as your jacket lapels. If the tie is too long, you can have it shortened by a tailor, or you can use a knot that uses up more of the tie.

You don't want to repeat wearing your ties?
