The Patriot has been around for a while, I thought. I should have been clearer....the "rough collection" shoes they are coming out with are kinda gross. Agreed on the stupid names.

I think so as well--it's definitely not the first time I've seen it. But they listed it on their new page so I thought I'd give it a shout-out amongst all the meh offerings.

I'd like to see the navy Strandmok in person. It could go either way.

it's a bit ambitious. while it's no secret that i don't care for AE, i don't understand when companies like allen edmonds try to "branch out." just stick to what you're good at. why are they trying to be mark mcnairy?

I'm in need of some advice on what to wear to a wedding. It's my brothers 2nd marriage and it's in Key West at the end of March. There's no wedding party, no tuxes, no ties, etc. I think my brother is probably wearing a linen suit with sandals since the ceremony is on the beach (as far as I know).

What do I wear to this? I'm guessing definitely not a tie, and probably not a suit....at least, no suit that I have in my closet.

That was about the only one that interested me, however, I'm not a fan of the sneaker-like sole on dress shoes. Like you, I would need to see it in person.

Apparently the "youthful" stuff is selling well, but I don't like it.

Linen pants, linen shirt, your choice of shoe.

Impulse buy but the Anthony had so much waist suppression already. It fit better OTR than most of my stuff tailored, and was about the price of a normal BB blazer before tailoring.

Get some loose linen pants and one of those Mexican wedding shirts and some sandals.

I don't really consider that a tux, more a stylized suit.

Anyway, I like the suit, BUT I would personally never wear an off-white dress shirt or a white tie.

Shirt: white will just look cleaner and more formal.

Tie: white tie is the top tier of formal. I would not wear a white tie ever, except to a white tie event.

Shirt & tie being same color: only if you are the new host of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

my girls dress is an offf white color so I was trying to match. was going to have a light gold pocket square to offset.

I don't see anything wrong with her wearing off-white and you wearing a white shirt with a black tie.

Couples don't need to be matchy-matchy. As long as the basic themes go together (ie if she's wearing a traditional style dress, you should wear a traditional suit, and same for modern-modern) it will still look great.

Also, it would set a precedent against matching outfits.
