Couples don't need to be matchy-matchy. As long as the basic themes go together (ie if she's wearing a traditional style dress, you should wear a traditional suit, and same for modern-modern) it will still look great.

Also, it would set a precedent against matching outfits.
i wanted to wear the orange tux from dumb and dumber, but I think I have to go to a costume shop for that.
She wants me to look nice....

Black tux

White shirt

Black tie or bow tie

white pocket square

No need to add the gold pocket square, or a colored vest/cummerbund, or a colored tie, in my opinion.

A gunmetal or dark navy suit/tux would work, too, in my opinion. I just think men should avoid the color-matched vests/cummerbunds. Color-matched as in the same color as the brides maids dresses.

Yes. The one I'm getting was $1,595 originally, marked down to about $500 before tailoring.

Both gray and black would be fine. Gray might actually go better since your fiancee's dress is not super formal (in that it is not white).

Please wear a white shirt and dark tie though. White shirt with black textured tie will look much better.

I would be happy to lend them to you, except they'd fit like clown pants on your waifish frame.

I took two suits and my new corduroy sport coat to my good tailor today. My two BB Fitz suits had been sitting in my closet for months because I needed to have them taken in (the in-house tailor never met a boxy cut he didn't like, apparently). I'll have them back in about a week, finally cut the way they ought to be (like my blue blazer and the tweed jacket I'm wearing today).

I'm super excited to get the SC back from tailoring. Except for sleeve length, it fit better OTR than any jacket I've had tailored.

I tried on a pair of cords this color yesterday. Couldn't bring myself to buy them. I don't quite have it in me.

Plus, I would be harassed at work in a way that would likely border on hate crime.

I am seriously 'mirin a pair of cotton/linen pants on Epaulet. Could be my first purchase from them

http://epauletnewyork.com/collection...ed-french-blue

I'm thinking these would be decent for the upcoming Key West wedding.

And Dave, I had to google what a Mexican wedding shirt was.....I was picturing something Tommy Bahama-esque under the assumption that you were joking, but it appears to be a short sleeved oxford, right? They look pretty nice.
