Just in case anybody is wondering, driving to Green Bay, Wisconsin is as miserable as a one would imagine.

Dave would never push a man down the stairs.

Waiting to chase the ambulance, though...

Thoughts on this deal? Never heard of this brand and was curious for some input.

I wasn't impressed with Charles Tyrwhitt but maybe that's just me.

This is from last night after a 16hour day at the office. Nothing fancy but my favourite suit.

CT is pretty cheap
Hard to "impress" at that price point
Especially when both material and labor costs are rising

Shirt and suit look like they fit well. Belt makes no sense.

(This post is strictly in regards to the shirts they always offer for $39.99 a pop)

I'm surprised at most of the responses in here about CT. Personally, you can't beat them for the price. Check their website out, ctshirts.com.

They offer an pretty extensive combination of collars, cuffs, and shirt cuts, and i do think that they have some pretty good patterns. Maybe the fit isn't right for everyone, but this shirt is MUCH higher quality than your typical dress shirt.

I pay attention to the little things that CT shirts offer compared to the following shirts that are $10 cheaper (Merona, Apt. 9, etc... Kohls basically) or shirts that are $30-$60 more expensive (Gap, BR, Hugo Boss)

The split back yoke on CT shirts is aweome, as well as the stitched in tags inside the shirt.
The collar stays are brass, not that big of a deal but pretty cool rather than cheap plastic.
The cotton may not be the softest, however it is not flimsy in the least bit. The shirt keeps its form very well.

They aren't as nice as Brooks Brothers, so for their normal $100-$120 shirts, you can find better, but when you are paying a third of that, I honestly would feel very ignorant if anyone else could show me a better $40 shirt. Ed, Dave, Dave... I'm all ears

Thanks for the input guys. I know these aren't going to be Brooks Brother quality but consider my wardrobe now isn't at the level (I only own a couple of Brooks Brothers shirts no suits yet ) I thought these looked like quality alternatives on a budget. Still have 5 days to decide if not another deal will always come along no harm no foul. I do wonder what Ed's take is on them.

They may not be BB quality, but when they are better than your typical Banana, J Crew, etc (IMO)... the quality isn't that far off. Honestly, from the shirts that I have seen, BB is a $120 shirt. CT, for the quality, I think $70-$80 is reasonable, so having a crap load to choose from for $40 is pretty ideal.

I must stay, my $100 Hugo shirts (that i love, they fit amazing) always have hanging threads all over the place. CT, not one. Jussayin

BB quality isn't THAT good. i mean... it's a fine benchmark but they're definitely middle ground in terms of quality. nothing to aspire to, per se.

I always corelate most things to cars, BB is like BMW, mid level luxury. Are there better out there sure, are there worse you bet your shiney metal ass. But for the "bang for buck" hard to beat for me personally.

Looking at the CT clearence section now

It comes down to individual fit for "better-at-$40" TM Lewin fits me better than CT.

Both are fine shirts for $40. I like Kent Wang shirts at $100 over BB though.

I really don't think BB shirts are that great. The fit, for me, is awful. Take away the label and the shirring at the cuffs and they would maybe go for half their price.

All of my dress shirts are Polo custom fit with regent collars.

same, except for 2 T&A's. off the rack and easily available, it's the best shirt out there, imo.
