Every time I see "high fashion" I automatically think of Zoolander.....and then I realize that's probably pretty accurate.

Same with the shorts.....slightly above the knee if dressier, slightly below/cargo if more casual.

Only shorts I have are trunks and some cargo shorts which are at the knee if anything. Aside from running shorts that is.

Congrats to you and your family! I hope to one day avoid having a daughter out of fear, but if I do I hope she turns out like yours!

So anyways, moving right along now. I ordered a pair of custom Neumoks. Lets see who can guess what color(s) I purchased....

Congrats Dave, that is awesome. You must be very proud. That is a direct reflection of what kind of parent you are, so congrats to you as well.

Thanks, guys! We're super-proud of her. I didn't really hit my scholastic stride until college, so it's nice to see her doing so well from the start. She'll have opportunities I never did just because all I cared about in high school was being in a band and messing around with cars.

I have no idea. But it's a national organization, you have to apply, and only a couple of people from her school got in. It's the kind of crap you want on your resume/transcript when you try to get into Harvard.

I was in NHS
Don't remember doing anything
There was also another academic honor thing ...
I remember one was a pin and another was a nifty colorful ribbon thing to wear over the gown at graduation
I was probably the most decorated one at hs graduation (had a bunch of other pins for academic stuff)
I was #1 out of 530ish students in the fall semester when applying to colleges...
Then it was all downhill from there

Pareto effect?

(80% of the results come from 20% of the causes)

Of course you were. And that's how you got into all those fancy-schmancy colleges and law schools you're paying for now.

In this case, 80% of my headaches come from 20% of my brokers.

I am trying to do the right thing and not sell them a product that wasn't intended for their type of business and which they couldn't use. The broker is pushing me incessantly to offer them this coverage. If you recall our discussion of "firing a client," this is the broker I was saying I'd like to cut off, but can't due to their production on other lines.

To complicate things, I think it's less of an issue of trying to sell a more expensive policy, and more of an issue of the broker having no understanding of why this type of insurance is not appropriate for this client. I'm not sure which is worse.
