I hate retailers that only stock D-widths. I understand that E-widths aren't commercially viable to stock, yet I don't care.

My Ride: my favorite two feet
bow tie for a tux unless it's a long tailed variety, but even then I prefer the bow tie.

Yeah, at least Leffot has gotten on board with the E widths.

I wanted to buy the cap toe blucher from JCrew but it's only in D. Too bad, because it was mismarked at $480.

yeah i saw that. it basically sold out overnight, didn't it? i wonder if they'll cancel those orders. j.crew is pretty good about honoring their mistakes but this would be epic. or even more epic if it was mismarked as cordovan when it's calf and then they get 100 returns.

I tried to buy an 11D last night, figuring if it was too long I could easily resell, but I swear they did something that wouldn't let purchases go through. It kept saying my card number wasn't right, even though its saved in their website.

Anyway, even if they had 50 pair that's only a $6500 loss, which isn't a big deal for JCrew, and probably low enough that they'd just break even on the sales.

Oh well.

In other news, I'm thinking a black cap toe blucher, while FAR from my favorite shoe, would be very useful in my wardrobe. I think it does a better job of transitioning between work and casual than my other black shoes (and I'm wanting a go-to shoe for said transitions, since I'm out of town fairly frequently on the weekend.)

You had black seats in front and gray in the back?

yes
gray m3 seats are hard to come by
so when i saw a pair of black m3 front seats for a good price locally, i grabbed them
and i figured it's actually easier to swap my gray interior to black anyway
