i was going through my closet and found an old, plain black button down shirt from back when i dressed like an asian gangster. is it just me, or are these shirts really un-versatile? i feel like they go with practically nothing in my closet

I bought one probably 6 or 7 yrs ago figuring it would be a good shirt to go out to bars, etc.

Still have never worn it and I keep passing over it going to the donate pile thinking that I'll have a reason to wear it some day. I might just put that in the donate bag today actually.

You are right though, not versatile at all.

yes those meermin's are almost identical in shape/profile as the lobb william 2's. you can now buy them locally at carson street clothiers in New York. nowhere else I know in the states stocks them.

It's true I have one sitting my closet too I think I've worn it a handful of times with jeans.

On the subject of hard-to-wear shirts: I wore my French blue shirt today. I didn't wear a tie, and I wore my blue blazer and grey slacks. I thought it looked pretty good.

In other news: my Fjallraven jacket showed up today. It fits perfectly and I love the fabric and color. So now, ironically, I find myself hoping for a later spring.

Also: tonight I bought Bioshock Infinite. Goodbye, free time.

Went to the RL outlet today after running some errands and found a RLBL sport coat. It's a bit casual (material) so I won't be wearing it to formal meetings, but it'll be a great everyday jacket to wear to work...and it cost $250.

everything at brooks brothers bums me out. like... their pricing is so good lately. i feel like price has gone down on sportcoats. but there is always one shitty detail. beautiful linen blazer in regent fit, under $500, but it has elbow patches. it's always something.

Spending that money plus more on top to buy golds gym membership for my parents and myself
They are getting up there in age so I want them to take care of themselves

I sent an email to their customer service - expect to hear back tomorrow.

They make very good "average day in the office" shirts.
