What are you wearing them with?

Also: so new. You need to break them in a bit, IMHO.

Had two people ask me about my pants already
Blue dyed chinos are not too flashy but just different enough to stand out

Why not?
Madras pants are a little harder
But shorts? No one will care

What do their pipes look like? Is there a pipe style that's a bit more modern (I don't know what that would look like, really) or do they just go full grandpa?

I stopped by the LE store in Sears again (this time with my son). I was liking the madras shorts a lot (and their madras shirts). But I've already got enough madras, I think. Like I had mentioned before--I'm pretty impressed with LE this year. They have stuff I like at a decent retail price point.

I'm not personally a fan of patch madras--I like the pattern to be uninterrupted (from a single piece of fabric).

There is a guy at my job, Late 20's early 30's, who goes with the all out Sherlock Holmes pipe.. he sits outside during lunch in the spring summer just puffing away.

Other than the pipe, does he go for anything vintage? Or he is just a regular/modern guy who happens to like pipes?

We finally had a hot Sunday so I wore my tan poplin suit to church today with a white OCBD, green knit tie and madras pocket square. Even though it's headed to the 90s, I'm still cool and comfortable. Excellent.
