i know about SF, but i was looking more for something with articles and not so much a forum. kinda like an online version of GQ, but focused solely on men's fashion

Put This On is good, and so is thisfits.me. Once you find a blog you like you will find that most men's fashion/style blogs cross-post stuff with each other all the time. So watch for links to other blogs and then go from there. I discover new blogs all the time. Also check out:

hmm
evolved posted a picture of a budweiser in the recent purchases thread...
which reminds me
last night i was talking about beer with some guys
and ... i didn't realize that anheuser busch (the makers of budweiser) belonged to a multinational corporation based in belgium and brazil
i thought budweiser was one of the most american brands around
It was a big deal here in St. Louis (the home of AB) when it was bought by Inbev......a lot of lay-offs, a lot of forced retirements and a lot of people were worried about a big local impact. Outside of the initial impact it hasn't been as bad as some have thought, but it would be a major blow if they moved the brewing operations since we're home to one of the largest breweries in the states.

I put on my 50lbs after college I'm 6'7" and graduated at 175lbs - was a hurdler/sprinter, which made it nearly impossible to put on weight.

At 215lbs. now and getting my ass back in the gym (doing Crossfit), ideally, I'd like to be at 225lbs and lean.

Must be tough to find clothes that fit you properly

Yeah. I'm 6'2" and I usually find that I'm just about at the top of the scale with most things (height-wise). I'm sort of short-waisted, so I have long legs and a little bit shorter torso. I can't imagine trying to find pants that fit if I were as tall as you.

I have several friends in the 6'7-6'9 range, though, and they seem to do okay. They say the hardest thing is finding shoes to fit their size 15 feet.

It can be very difficult - dress shirts and jeans are the toughest.

For dress shirts I recently scored a couple of Nordstrom brand trim fit 16x36/37 @ Nordstrom Rack that actually fit VERY well. Waiting to get some MTM shirts until I get in the exact shape I'm wanting.

Jeans are totally different story - any suggestions? Thinking of checking out some Levi's, which I haven't visited in about 8-10 years.

Fortunately, my feet have stopped at a 13 for most dress shoes, sport shoes (e.g. Nike) are a 14.

I dress professionally during the week. On the weekend during summer, all bets are off!

I like the Nordstrom dress shirts. I used to wear them exclusively before BB opened a store nearby. They're a good value.

I'm a fan of Levis 501, myself.

I actually picked up a pair of 501's 2 weeks ago on your recommending them. I really like em, and aren't that pricey(picked them up for $40 on sale at Macys)

Cool. I'm glad you like them. For the money, I think they're pretty hard to beat. I'd love to have some super-nice selvage denim, but I just can't bring myself to spend that much for something that I've always thought of as beater wear.

What about the shrink-to-fit 501s? Those are a nice middle ground. Raw denim but Levi's prices.

I have a pair but I wish the rise was about 1-1.5" lower. I have a long torso and short legs so the rise on 501s creeps a little higher into my stomach area than I prefer.
